sabrina, our new pet sitter, that we love more than momma and daddy now, took this picture of the cats while they were on mouse watch. i think they look ridiculous, but wish i could get up there too and check things out too. maybe i could warn the small woodland creatures of the dangers of the sanders' household.
momma and daddy have been gone for 561,600 seconds. i would have blogged sooner, but momma took the computer with her. grandma (that's her in the pic) and aunt melanie came to stay with us before sabrina the pet-sitter came. we love grandma and wish she would come live with us forever. she feeds us pizza and turkey sandwiches and wine and rubs our bellies on command. aunt mel is nice too. she hates to be away from us so she slept on the couch and didn't complain once about lindy's snoring. i tried to get cuda's butt smell off of the pillows, but i'm not sure how good i did. grandma schooled newman for trying to bring in a bird. he came in the back door with one in his mouth and she said 'you just take that right back outside' and he did. newman knows grandma means business. grandma likes us better than the cats. their breath smells like dead rats. to welcome momma and daddy home, one of the cats brought in a mangled, stiff, very dead mouse last night and left it right in the middle of the rug where lindy and i sleep. i'm thinking they all need a good butt-kicking; i don't like waking up to dead things right under my nose.
i don't think i like adult pet-free vacations, but its hard to stay mad and momma and daddy cause they were gone for so long. they're home now! and gave us crunchy bones and cheese-its and constant love. i don't see any souvenirs though.today, i think i like momma best cause she stayed home so we can cuddle.
i've had breakfast and a walk; now (big surprise), its time for my mid-morning nap.
love and wet-nosed kisses,
daisy d.
